CARLSON CABANA - a lake house renovation

Working closely with Brian Howard, design principal at HF:architecture, AJ learned to appreciate Brian’s minimal Scandinavian design approach. His attitude toward simple detailing, clean lines, sustainability and functionality left a lasting impression. Allowing the exterior into a space (placing a window across from a door into a room, for example) to create harmony between that space and the surrounding environment. These guiding principles have influenced and continue to challenge our thinking at OOMBRA Architects.

His attitude toward simple detailing, clean lines, sustainability and functionality left a lasting impression. Allowing the exterior to read into a space (by placing a window across from a door into a room, for example) to create harmony between that space and the surrounding environment.
